HAMER Disaster Medicine Conferences 2014/1
“Management of Chemical Incidents and Principles of Medical Management”

The training of HAMER Search and Rescue Team (HAMER-SAR) will be conducted by the trainers of Turkish Republic Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency’s (AFAD) Disaster and Emergency Training Center (AFADEM) (14-25 April 2014). Ten volunteered University personnel will participate the training program.

The representatives of Oriental Consultants Co. Ltd., Nikken Sekkei Ltd., and International Total Engineering Corporation (ITEC) visited HAMER. They presented the results of their research study on data gathering related to disaster resilient city plans in Turkey. Using the funds of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), the consortium was planning to conduct a project in Turkey (Proposal of Disaster Management Base Hospitals for Rescuing Life and Providing Health Services). The parties exchanged ideas on this topic (04 February 2014).
